You are certainly not the only one. Here are a few tips to help keep you focused on work and hopefully make the week go by more quickly without compromising your health or well being.
- Take a break! Sure, it might seem like a good idea at the time to eat lunch at your desk and get a jump on tomorrow’s workload. But truthfully, how much are you really going to get done in that short period of time? Wouldn’t it be more fulfilling to get up and out for a few minutes? Go stretch your legs and breathe in the fresh air outside. You will feel so rejuvenated when you get back.
- Grab an apple. You might think you need that jolt of caffeine only a cup of coffee can give you. But even that small bit of caffeine can mess with your sleep later tonight. Eating an apple will give you the same amount of energy without the unnecessary caffeine. Plus, it’s a healthy snack that will tide you over until dinner.
- Clean up the clutter. Not only will your workspace look nicer, but it will help keep you focused on what needs to be done rather than always looking at a ton of projects. It will also reduce dust in the air and help you breathe easier.
