As a businessperson, reading the right books has been essential to my success and more importantly, avoiding mistakes. I am occasionally asked for my recommendations of books that are worth reading so I’ve decided to share a few of my all time favorites.
If you feel like reading is chore, I encourage you to go ahead and try to discipline yourself to ready daily – even just a few pages! Or, you can always listen to audio books during your commute. I’ve done this countless times during my travels and not only has it helped to pass the time during a long drive, it’s turned it into a productive time.
I hope you enjoy the list and find a few to add to your list!
Here is a list in no particular order other than the first one listed:
- The Bible – God
- How to Win Friends & Influence People – Dale Carnegie
- Blue Ocean Strategy – Renee Mauborgne, W. Chan Kim
- Rich Dad, Poor Dad – Robert T. Kiyosaki
- The Referral of a Lifetime – Timothy L. Templeton
- Thinking for a Change – John C. Maxwell
- The Millionaire Next Door – Thomas Stanley, William Danka
- Think and Grow Rich – Napoleon Hill
- The Greatest Salesman in the World – Og Mandino
