Our policies are designed to provide coverage for things such as doctor visits, prescriptions, surgical prescriptions and so much more; but being the client-focused, community-centered agency that we are, we want to take this time to consider your overall well-being.

Whether you suffer from seasonal allergies, or simply find yourself prone to the common cold, below you will find some great tips to help you stay healthy during this cold and flu season:

Eat Well

Your best shot at staying healthy throughout the winter season – or all year long for that matter – is to make sure you are consuming vitamin-rich foods. It’s recommended that you consumer at least 3 servings of vegetables each day, 2 servings of fresh fruit and at least 2 servings for milk or yogurt. Try to incorporate whole grains whenever you can too!

Wash Your Hands

Such a simple ritual can help you battle cold and flu germs, so make sure to wash your hands with hot soapy water every time you use the bathroom and before every meal. Make sure to scrub your hands for at least 60 seconds to really kill any potential viruses and bacteria.

Get Plenty of Sleep

It’s best if you create a consistent bedtime routine to get you in the habit of getting into bed early and taking full advantage of sleep. My staying on schedule and getting your recommended 8 hour a night, you help your body recharge and prevent yourself from feeling rundown.

Take a Multi-Vitamin

Again, this simple daily ritual plays an integral role in keeping your body healthy, so make sure you get into the habit of taking a once-daily multi-vitamin!

Although theses may seem like very basic, common knowledge, sometimes we all need a little reminder; and keep in mind that you are in need of a reliable TX health insurance plan, or simply want to review your current coverage, give us a call, we’d be happy to help! All of us at Dagley Insurance are wishing you and your loved ones a happy and healthy winter season!
