Remainder of Year Offers Texas Automobile Bargains

November 9, 2010 By

If your holiday wish list includes a brand new set of wheels, the next few weeks could be the most optimal time to purchase a new car– this proves to be especially true if you rate price and value much higher than having the hottest make and model on the market.

According to the Star-Telegram, “the automobile business has improved significantly in 2010 over the recession-induced, fire-sale levels of 2009. Sales in the U.S. are up 10 percent for the first nine months of the year. Automakers have reduced production and eliminated some older, unpopular models that they almost had to give away”.

Although, it may appear that auto manufacturers are attempting to cutback on rebates, TrueCar.com’s market analyst, Jessie Toprak, explains that there are still many dollar-saving deals to be had in the next two months; as dealers try to move the remaining 2010s off the lots.

There are even great deals expected for a Texan favorite, the pickup truck.

“Models like the Chevy Aveo and Cobalt, Kia Forte and Hyundai Elantra aren’t at the top of most lists of exciting cars. But they are solid, dependable and economical vehicles that have low price tags plus rebates and other discounts,” Toprak explains.

What about family-friendly options? Toprak states that, “the 2010 Honda Odyssey minivan can be bought for a 20 percent-plus discount off the manufacturer’ suggested retail,”.

Some of the most striking deals are on pickups such as Ford’s 2010 F-series. Since many dealers have such large stocks of this year’s models left on their lots, the deals are endless.

“The deal is on 2010 F-150s,” said Cliff Johnson, owner of Texas Motors Ford in west Fort Worth. “We’ve got 50 at anywhere from $10,000 to $12,000 off sticker price,”

It’s important to remember that whether it’s safeguarding your newest investment or protecting your loved ones,  it’s vital to keep in mind that with every new Texas automobile comes the need for reliable Texas auto insurance.
