Life Flight was called to Bush Intercontinental Airport today after one of the airport trams struck two contract workers.
The trams are used to transport travelers between terminals in the large airport.
It happened just before noon on an elevated portion of the track near the airport Marriott.
The extent of the victims’ injuries was not clear. Airport officials said the trams can travel at a maximum speed of 33 mph, and they have the capacity to carry about 5,000 passengers per hour in each direction.
It was not known how fast the tram was traveling when it struck the workers or if there were passengers onboard at the time.
