This year will make the 30th Anniversary of the Katy, Texas Harvest Rice Festival. For three decades the festival has brought products and services from local vendors, seasonal foods, entertainments, arts and crafts, and more.
The event is sponsored by the Katy, TX Chamber of Commerce, and is taking place this weekend between avenues B and C and Second and Third Street. The quality family event has special events planned to recognize the 30th year where over 250 booths offering original artist work, candles, homemade jewelry, knitted items, and more will be on display for festival attendees.
Scheduled to perform are Eder-Mace Band, Tina Allen, DunVille, The Trishas, Scooter Brown Band, the Greatful Geezers, and other local favorite bands. This week’s edition of the Katy Times will include a full schedule of performers including dancers, martial arts demonstrations, and more!
Admission is $7 for adults and children over 12 years of age, and free parking and free shuttle service to and from the festival is available for all guests.
To support the City of Katy, $1 of each ticket will be contributed to the City of Katy Freedom Celebration’s annual fireworks display. Please call the Katy Area Chamber of Commerce at 281-391-KATY (5289) or e-mail info@katychamber.com for additional information.
